Travelport Digital Concierge Live has been announced as the winner of the Travel and Hospitality Award at the 2015 Mobile Innovation Awards.
The Mobile Innovation Awards celebrate the enormous growth and innovation in mobile technology and reward new developments and excellence in the use of mobile for commercial reasons. Travelport Digital Concierge Live was selected as the winner from eight shortlisted finalists including Thomas Cook, PayPal and Shell.
The awards pay tribute to those pushing the boundaries of what is possible using a mobile device and honour the achievements that are driving true business and commercial value through mobile. Entries were from the EMEA region and the awards recognise the impact their mobile technologies are having across the region.
Travelport Digital Concierge Live is an intelligent mobile travel assistant that is integrated into existing airline and travel intermediary apps via a software widget to transform customer service and engagement on the ‘day of travel’. Concierge Live combines a number of live data sources including live flight status, queue wait times and baggage tracking together with in-door mapping, geo-location and traveller flight itineraries to precisely guide travellers at every step in their journey with real-time, contextual mobile updates and directions via the app.
The award application focused on Concierge Live’s ‘journey context’ engine, which intelligently and dynamically distills this data in real-time to provide the flight, travel and airport updates most relevant to each individual traveller at the right stage of their journey.
