Travelport Digital has appointed a new Senior Director, Sales, Neil Laidler, to lead the sales team as Travelport Digital continues to rapidly expand in serving the travel industry with advanced mobile solutions. Neil has 15+ years of international travel technology sales and marketing experience, having spent the past 6 years with travel technology provider and GDS, Amadeus.
Travelport Digital has developed a new personalised mobile travel app for global travel management company BCD Travel. Called TripSource®, the mobile app may be downloaded from the Apple App Store in versions for U.S. and Canadian markets. Versions for other countries, Android and mobile web are in the works.
Travelport Digital has launched its intelligent push engine, Travelport Digital Engage, to accelerate mobile revenues and customer engagement for travel companies. Currently, travel companies are not capitalising on the multitude of ancillary revenue streams available through interacting with customers via mobile.
Travelport Digital has signed a contract with LAN and TAM Airlines, both members of LATAM Airlines Group, one of the largest airline groups in the world, to develop their mobile apps for iPhone and Android as well as mobile web offering. LATAM Airlines Group was formed in June 2012 following the merger of LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines, the leading carriers in Chile and Brazil respectively.
transavia.com, the Dutch airline and member of the Air France KLM Group, recently launched new mobile applications for iPhone and Android with Mobile Travel Technologies Ltd. (MTT), the leading provider of mobile solutions for airlines. The transavia.com apps enable flight search and booking as well as the ability to add baggage, view promotions, flight offers and manage bookings.
